While the rain poured down, love and the joyful sounds of singing raised the roof on Thobeka and Thobezweni’s wedding day.
Everything from the beautiful location, sparkly fairy lights to Thobeka’s A M A Z I N G McCarthy Wolff wedding dress was just a pleasure to photograph and Nats and I loved every second.
Thobeka and Thobezweni are two of the world’s warmest and most loving people who ensured everyone at their wedding was thought of, cared for and having a good time. When the rain finally stopped us photographing, we rushed back to the reception and were met with more entertainment and cheering.
We quickly sneaked off for five more minutes out over the dam.
Thank you Thobezweni and Thobeka for sharing your special day with us – we loved photographing it! <3

Daniel and Megan’s wedding had everything that I love about weddings in the winter in the Midlands.
Warm winter light? ✓
Love and happiness all around? ✓
A beautiful bride, both inside and out? ✓
A couple who write their own heartfelt vows? ✓
A bride who walks into the chapel, on her father’s arm, to a song that reduces everyone to tears? ✓
A choreographed first dance that breaks out into a flash mob! ✓
I arrived at Providence, Midlands Meander (where I also got married in 2012!) excited to photograph Dan and Meg’s beautiful day and left feeling so full of love and gratitude. What an amazing day!
From Megan’s incredibly moving entrance into the chapel, to the way Dan looked at Megan, to the way the guests filled the small chapel with the most AMAZING hymn, to the way everyone just beamed with love and warmth for this couple… Everything was just perfect!
Thank you Daniel and Megan for letting me photograph your wedding day, and making me feel so welcome. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek and reliving the happiest day of your lives.
There are so many things I’ll remember about Michael and Rozanne’s wedding day.
The genuine friends, the belly laughs, a laid-back bride, the mist, the most beautiful Fresian horse ring bearer, my car getting stuck on a bank… But most of all, I’ll remember how Michael looks at Rozanne and the way he speaks to and of her.
And I’ll remember how all their friends and family were just so proud of this amazing couple on their wedding day.

David and Tricia’s wedding was a true celebration of love, friendship, family and faith.
When I first these two, I knew their wedding was going to be exceptional. I was blown away by their love during their engagement shoot (which has since been featured on Ruby and Swallow) but even more blown away on their special day. Tricia was an absolute pleasure to photograph, always smiling and so relaxed!
Their wedding was held at Lastingham in the Midlands Meander and was a little different to most weddings. Guests arrived sometime before noon and were welcomed with soft drinks and the breathtaking views of the Meander under the hot afternoon sun. Shortly after their very memorable ceremony (which almost had me in tears, it was so moving!), guests enjoyed a picnic and later an Easter egg hunt (ladies won!) and a few games on the lawn while the bridal party went off for their creative session.
Guests also got to enjoy the ultra-amazing coffee from Jacksonville Coffee as the Midlands started to cool down. Once the sun had settled and most guests had left and only closest friends and family remained, everyone gathered together for an intimate steak dinner with the newly weds. Just perfect!
Enjoy the photographs! x

Reggie and Emily got married on a very cold day in the Midlands and oh, what a wedding it was. I drove up to the Midlands that morning to second shoot for Kelly Daniels, leaving behind anything warm that I owned! But the love on the day and the pure joy of photographing such a beautiful wedding and people eased the freeze. Despite my lips turning blue and my hands red and numb from the cold, I enjoyed every second. Thank you Kelly for allowing me to second shoot with you.
Reggie and Emily were married at The Windmills venue in the Midlands Meander. This has always been on my top 10 list of ‘Must-Shoot-At-Wedding-Venues’ and I’m very proud to say… I’ve booked my first Midlands wedding for later this year at The Windmills! Can’t wait!
