I love that the weddings I get to photograph are always different. Some couples opt for big weddings, while others opt for elopements or smaller, intimate garden ceremonies.
When I met Leigh-Ann and Johan earlier this year, I knew I would love their wedding. A beautiful garden ceremony at Lambert House, in the heart of Durban, and a high tea on the verandah with just their closest family.
The day arrived and it was everything I expected and more. Leigh-Ann looked amazing in her custom dress made by Natalie Graham and Lambert House just oozes grand old sophistication. It was the perfect setting to their celebration.
Thank you Leigh-Ann and Johan for having me on your wedding day, and allowing me to photograph your incredible moments. x

This wedding goes down as one of my absolute favourites! Wesley and Kirsty held their wedding at what I believe is one of the best wedding venues near Durban, Thorner Country Estate in the Camperdown area.
I’ve been looking forward to Wes and Kirst’s wedding for months now, and after their engagement shoot, I just knew we were going to be in for a treat!
From the elegant decor to Kirsty’s incredible wedding dress made by her mom on a sewing machine she got when she turned 21; to the bridal party and the guests, everything about this wedding was magic! There were so many personal touches, most of it lovingly handcrafted by the bride herself or by her family and so much love and joy in the air!
I hope these photos share just how much love there was on this day. x
Love for the team:
I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before; there’s a lot of things at weddings that get me choked up. But when I see a groom crying at the first sight of his beautiful bride, I’m a mess!
Now imagine this: A completely in-love and dashing groom with tears in his eyes, and their gorgeous son with even more tears in his eyes! Oh man! Tash looked amazing. And with her bubbly personality, fantastic sense of style and wild imagination, this wedding was such a hit!
It had a burger bar, an ice cream bar (!!), spiked slush puppies, pop corn and a rainbow cake. It had friends and family who non-stop partied and a couple so in love and so compatible together, that you can’t help smiling just looking at them.
And I’d choose you;
in a hundred lifetimes,
in a hundred worlds,
in any version of reality,
I’d find you and
I’d choose you.

Congratulations Tash and Clayton (and Jordyne)! Thank you for choosing me and thank you also to Lucy from Freedom Café and Alexis from Surreal Eventing who were outright amazing to work with.
Just a few very quick sneak peek at last weekend’s wedding at Freedom Cafe in Durban! What a gorgeous day! More to follow soon. x
