We ran, we splashed in the ocean, and we took photos on a beautiful rock overlooking the sea. And when we were done with that, Clinton and Carla got to have some fun with their two favourites – Glencoe and Snowy!
Carla has been following my work for the longest time, and has also shown the kindest support with lovely comments on posts. So it was so amazing to be able to have her in front of my lens and create magic for her.
When discussing locations, Carla wanted something that reflected ‘them’ and so this lookout point was chosen and couldn’t have been more incredible.
I can’t wait for their wedding next year, and get to create beautiful photos all over again!
Tommie and Kim travelled to Durban from Ladysmith for their engagement session, so we hit the beach and soaked up some of that last beautiful light for the day.
I’m so crazy about shooting at this time of the day on the beach and just love these photos! Tommie and Kim said they were nervous – but they both did such a great job! They’re such a gorgeous couple, and so perfect for one another, that I think I’m in for a real treat when I photograph their wedding later this year.
Enjoy this peek into their engagement session! x
Daniel and Megan are getting married in just a few weeks and I can’t wait – not only do I get to spend the day with them, photographing some amazing memories, but I get to do it all at the same venue where I got married! #superexcited
I met Daniel and Megan on a city rooftop in Durban for their engagement shoot. The weather started to turn really quickly but resulted in some pretty skies!
I’m so excited to be photographing this journey for these two – and can’t wait for the wedding day!
Kim’s hand in Charl’s, we set out on a lovely Sunday afternoon to explore and snap up a few photographs. The light was absolutely perfect on this afternoon and I love how it sparkles all around them!
These two are the perfect pair, and I’m so excited that I get to share in their wedding day next month.
I first met Kim at her sister’s wedding, which I photographed in Umdloti, and loved how kind and caring both these sisters were. That I get to photograph their weddings in the same year is such an honour!
It’s been almost three weeks of no internet at the Tanya Jacobs Photography headquarters. It’s been expensive (cellphone data), annoying, and outright frustrating with no answers as to who caused the problem (an underground cable has been dug up) and who is going to fix it. Aaaah!
Because of this, I have fallen behind on my blogging and haven’t been able to share this lovely engagement session with you all!
The other day I was walking my daughter when I bumped into a bunch of children riding their bikes. They were talking about school and the one girl said, “I hope I’m in Miss Vermolen’s class next year, she’s the nicest!”
I absolutely have to agree!
When I first met Kirsty on Instagram, I had no idea how sweet she would be and how her and Kieran would feel like friends after meeting them for their engagement session. Kirsty is a teacher and Kieran is studying to become an architect which is just the most perfect match as they build a future together.
And I even got to meet Nugget, who is the liveliest little sausage I have ever met (besides for my mom’s sausage dog) with the most heartwarming story of how he was rescued by Kirsty.
Kieran and Kirsty, I hope you love your photographs and enjoy the last few weeks before your wedding day! I’m so glad you chose me to be your wedding photographer!
