I love this age. Sophie has just turned one and is at the most adorable, adventurous age of learning about everything around her.
Everything is new and exciting.
I got to meet Sophie and her parents, Adrian and Lauren in their home in Plantations where we got to jump on a jumping castle, blow bubbles and play with all of Sophie’s favourite toys.
She’ll be walking very soon, and these photos of her crawling will be a distant memory soon enough, so I captured Sophie just as she is now.
Oh, how time just flies.
It’s not every day that I invite clients back to my house for a bath. Actually, I’ve never done that!
But when Lizelle heard that her sister had bought her a gift voucher for a photoshoot with me, we instantly started to plan for a milk bath!
After doing a maternity session in a field with Ryan and Lizelle, we headed back to my house to get Lizelle soaking in a (coconut) milk bath. It was so much fun preparing for this session and seeing the end result, these beautiful photographs of Lizelle make me really wish I did a maternity session when I was pregnant with Ella.
It’s always such a privilege to be able to tell a part of a couple’s story – whether it be their wedding day or later on, when their first child is on the way!
Enjoy this little preview Ryan and Lizelle, and all the very best! I know you’re both going to be INCREDIBLE parents! <3

Is there anything sweeter than a new family? The guessing (is she tired? is she hungry? Is she cold), the joys of each new milestone, the courage, and the teamwork.
I know these feelings all too well!
Eugene, Elana and tiny little Milana visited Umhlanga recently and decided to remember their holiday with a beach family shoot. But a tired little Milana had other plans and only wanted to sleep!
We snapped up these few pics as the sun was setting and before this beautiful little family returned on their way to the Free State. x
Etienne, Jenny, Ethan and Zane recently visited Umhlanga on holiday and for Jenny’s birthday, Etienne spoiled her with a family photoshoot on Umhlanga beach.
It’s always a great place to photograph, with the pier and the lighthouse and the rocks and it’s so nice that these landmarks have become important features in family photographs.
Enjoy their little sneak peek!
